Andrew Pierce and Ashley Hudson realized that there was there was no going back after they walked into their Hamburg church. Ashley was just 17, and had never had a relationship with a man before. They took the relationship extremely slow. The two immediately fell in love. Andrew was praying on New Year's Eve right ahead of the beginning of the new year in 2016, praying that God would give him the last blessing of this year. Then, Ashley would get married to him. Ashley wanted an elegant wedding in a woodland folk theme. It was essential for her that the wedding was a reflection of both Andrew as well as Ashley. They combined a little bit of everything they loved for the big day. The location was the 40 acres back of land Ashley grew up on. Ashley knew the entire area having walked through it and playing in the area. Andrew and Ashley were also walking around this area several times since they started dating. Because the wedding was almost entirely DIY, personalization was an important role. Andrew and Ashley's father built the seating areas and the arch for the ceremony. Ashley painted many of the decors. Ashley claims that if Anna her florist from Magnolia Belle Floral, hadn't completed her incredible floral design for us, our wedding might not have had the magic I was hoping it could. Simply stunning.
